Loppet Announcement The forecast for this weekend is -30C! So, for the first time in our 14 years we've decided to cancel the official Loppet race due to cold weather. But we've decided not to cancel any of the fun!  Apart from flood relief, the Marsh Lake Classic Loppet is the single biggest draw for folks to visit Marsh Lake. Many of you have helped out on the Loppet - thank-you, thank-you. You are all invited to join the racers and their supporters, cause we're having them over anyway. Saturday from noon, we'll have the rink cleared for shinny and skating. We will set some of the trails for die-hard skiers (like Bob lake and the red trail). We'll have Ferryn here doing crafts with kids. Drew will have his Jack-a-Loppet Café going with soup and sandwiches. And Shirley and Rita will be drawing all of the amazing prizes for the racers who make it out anyway - including the Air North flight! It should be a great afternoon. Feel free to get dressed up!
